Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania!
When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our safari expert from Ozon Light Tours will meet you and drive you for about an hour to the lodge in Arusha. Along the route, you might see some of the people going about their daily routines depending on the time you arrive. If you spot anything intriguing, feel free to ask your guide to stop the vehicle. You will check into the lodge at an ideal moment to relax, take a shower, and have dinner. You will enjoy your overnight stay in Arusha, the "Geneva of Africa," and prepare for your safari, which begins the next day.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Your safari starts with breakfast, followed by a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park for a wildlife drive. You will arrive at the park's main gate and complete the check-in requirements before beginning your game drive. Tarangire's terrain is stunning, with baobab trees that are thought to have existed for centuries. Impalas, elands, Grant's gazelles, vervet monkeys, waterbucks, giraffes, dik-diks, banded mongooses, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African wild dogs might be seen during the game drive.
Tarangire comes to life as wildlife congregates on the riverbank to drink water and cool down during the dry season, a game drive along the Tarangire River is breathtaking. You will have a picnic lunch in one of the park's authorized areas in the afternoon. You will then go on an afternoon game drive to look for more wildlife and other park attractions. After the game drive, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Make the most of every moment of your safari.
The day's program begins with a lovely breakfast at the lodge. You will spend some time interacting with the Maasai, which will allow you to learn more about their culture. They will show you how they go about their daily lives, such as how they build their local houses, milk their cows and goats, and cook their local meals. They will tell fascinating stories about their customs and traditions. Your day in the life of a Maasai will be a once-in-a-lifetime event.
After spending time with the Maasai, you will be driven to Mto wa Mbu for a traditional Tanzanian meal. After lunch, you will have some time to unwind before departing on an afternoon game drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The lake dominates the park, accounting for two-thirds of the entire area. Hundreds of pink flamingos and other bird species inhabit the lake. Wildlife such as hippos, giraffes, elephants, baboons, impalas, and zebras may be seen on a game drive.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
The day begins with breakfast in the morning, followed by a trip to Ngorongoro Crater. This morning, you will leave with a picnic lunch in order to have enough time for a crater tour. When you arrive at the crater rim, you will descend to the crater, which is home to hundreds of species in a self-sustaining environment. Among the animals that you will encounter on the game drive are rhinos, lions, elands, zebras, and elephants, to mention a few. A giraffe, whose large legs are unable to cope with the crater's steep walls, is the only animal you won't see as you descend it.
After lunch, you will go on a short afternoon game drive, which will allow you to explore other attractions. You'll drive to Lake Magadi, one of the crater's top attractions. Hundreds of flamingos and other wildlife live in the lake. After the wildlife drive, you will ascend and journey to Arusha.
When you arrive in Arusha, you will be escorted to the airport based on your departure flight.
