Tanzania is one of the few places in the world that can provide honeymooners with unforgettable wildlife experiences. Ozon Light Tours is the best choice for a client looking for a honeymoon experience in Africa. We have a team of professionals with adequate knowledge to customize the best itinerary for you based on your trip budget and preferences. We know our country better, and we know the greatest honeymoon places that are going to leave you with unforgettable memories.
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Arusha
Welcome to Arusha, "Geneva of Africa"! Your honeymoon journey begins here!
When you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our Safari agent and driven for approximately 1 hour to Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha. Along the route, depending on the time you arrive, you can see some of the residents going about their daily routines; if you spot something fascinating, feel free to ask your guide to stop the vehicle for learning and discovery. You will check into the lodge at a convenient time to relax, take a shower, and have dinner. Enjoy your overnight stay and prepare for your honeymoon excitement, which will begin the next day.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Your Tanzania Honeymoon safari itinerary begins with breakfast at Kibo Palace Hotel. Your safari specialist will meet you for a briefing before departing for Tarangire National Park. On the journey to Tarangire, you will get the opportunity to explore some of en route sights such as small villages, beautiful landscape, and cultural shop, to name a few. If you spot something intriguing and want to learn more about it, feel free to stop the vehicle for learning and discovery.
When you arrive in Tarangire, drive to Tarangire Osupuko Lodge for a hot lunch. The natural beauty of Tarangire is amazing, with long-lived baobab trees dotting the landscape. Large herds of elephant, as well as zebra, antelope, and lion, are common in Tarangire. A game drive along the Tarangire River is most rewarding during the dry season, which lasts from June to October.
After a successful day filled with wonderful memories, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Maasai Village / Lake Manyara National Park
Today's itinerary begins with breakfast at the lodge, followed by a drive to Maasai Village. When you arrive, you will see Maasai bomas/local homes with a rich history. They will be delighted to demonstrate to you how they build and refurbish their homes. Your visit will be worthwhile if you interact with them, as they will tell you about their daily life. You will get the opportunity to dress in their traditional attire and snap a memorable photograph.
After spending a day immersed in Maasai culture, you will travel to Mto wa Mbu for a local African meal. You will take a few minutes to unwind before driving to Lake Manyara National Park, which is very close to Mto wa Mbu, for an afternoon wildlife drive. If you're lucky, you might witness Lake Manyara tree climbing lions as well as baboons, elephants, and zebras. After a fantastic day filled with unforgettable memories, you will go to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park
Serengeti is absolutely rewarding when it comes to magnificent sunsets, bush meals, and hot air balloon rides.
Your day begins with a great breakfast at the lodge, followed by a three-hour drive to Serengeti. While on the way, your expert guide will tell you about the history and geography of the Serengeti. You will be driven to Matawi Serengeti Camp for a hearty lunch, followed by some relaxation time. After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife in the Serengeti's "Seronera" area.
Big cats like cheetahs, leopards, and lions are frequent in the area, and if you're lucky, you might see them hunting ungulates like wildebeest, Impala, and antelope.
If you miss out on seeing numerous animals, the next day is yours as you journey in Seronera looking for more species that you didn't see. If you wish to enhance your experience, you can take an optional balloon ride, which allows you to watch wildlife from the skies and take unique images.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Every day, we provide you the opportunity to make the most of your Safari experience, and today you will see one of the world's natural beauties, "the Ngorongoro Crater."
Today you will wake up early and enjoy breakfast before driving to Ngorongoro Crater and descending to the over 600m caldera with a picnic lunch. The crater is home to an exceptionally large number of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalo, and elephants. Since the crater is self-sustaining thanks to annual rainfall, animals do not need to migrate in search of food. A lot of animals can be seen in a few hours of game drive if you're lucky. Hippo pool is a beautiful spot where you may enjoy a picnic lunch while viewing the grandeur of the crater.
After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive till sunset in search of additional animals and other attractions that this amazing place has to offer.
Following the game drive, you will ascend and drive to Kudu Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Drive Back to Arusha
Congratulations for having a fantastic experience for a once-in-a-lifetime safari.
Your guide will drive you back to Arusha Town after breakfast. Depending on the schedule of your trip, you will enjoy lunch in Arusha before being transferred to the airport for your flight back home. If you want to make the most of your trip, extend your Safari and spend some time on Zanzibar Island, where you may relax on the beautiful crystal sea of Zanzibar's magnificent beaches.
Thank you for booking with Ozon Light Tours. We wish you a safe travel home and hope to see you again.
